Spanish for Medical Personnel

A woman in blue medical scrubs standing in front of a green blackboard with English and Spanish writing in chalkOur Spanish for Medical Personnel course is ideal for you if you are a doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional seeking to better serve your patients through the acquisition of basic Spanish and cultural competency skills. You will gain the necessary linguistic and cultural knowledge to engage in basic medical conversations with your Spanish-speaking patients.

This course assumes no prior knowledge of Spanish.

At the end of the course, you will take the nationally recognized STAMP 4S language skills exam which allows you to document a formal Spanish proficiency designation on your resume.

Components of Spanish for Medical Personnel:

  • Lecture
  • In-Class activities
  • Homework assignments to support learning
  • Simulated practice sessions to put theory and skills learned in class into practice
  • Exploration of Hispanic/Latino/a/x healthcare

Cost:

$975
(Includes all course materials.  May be paid in installments of $500 and $475.)

Refund Policy:

Students who withdraw before the first day of class or within the first 12 class hours: Full refund

Students who withdraw after the first 12 class hours: No refund
