Employment Fluency Testing

The Tennessee Language Center offers language skills testing to evaluate proficiency. This service is helpful for organizations seeking job candidates with specific language skills, as well as individuals who want to add the test results to their resumé.

We offer a medical interpreter assessment and a bilingual clerk skills assessment. Each test comes with a detailed summary of the candidate’s results, including suggestions for professional development.

Medical Interpreter Assessment

• Offered in Spanish and Arabic
• Cost: $265

Includes:

• A written exam covering ethics and medical and anatomical terminology.
• An oral translation of a written document.
• A brief sample consecutive interpretation test that is thorough and very illustrative of the work environment.

Bilingual Clerk Skills Assessment

• Offered in Spanish and Arabic
• Cost: $200
