Translation Coordinator

The Tennessee Language Center (TLC) is accepting applications for a full-time Translation Coordinator based in Nashville, TN. 

This role:

  • manages the end-to-end coordination of translation projects,
  • maintains and updates translation databases and related systems, and
  • ensures accurate billing and payment processes.

The coordinator also supports the onboarding of new clients and translators, helping to establish smooth workflows and effective communication channels.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in customer service, project coordination, or related fields.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 
    • Ability to execute careful attention to detail regarding linguistic complexities.
    • Excellent proactive communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and problem-solve simultaneous and consecutive projects.
    • Computer skills – word processing, formatting of documents under the entire MS-Office suite, and related Apps.
    • Ability to assess client needs and resource availability.
    • Ability to exercise good judgment for responsible fiscal activity and appropriate resource allocation.
    • Knowledge of at least one language other than English, including familiarity with interpretation or translation terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Project Management, or Administrative Certifications
  • Experience:  2 years of experience in customer service, project coordination, or related fields. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Arabic.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong customer service skills and experience, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
